In line with our mission statement, "To help people affected by carcinoid cancer through funding research for new treatments, providing financial support for patients and their families, and promoting awareness and education for carcinoid and other rare cancers," The Lois Merrill Foundation provides funding for the following grants:

Medical Assistance Grant
Provides patients with assistance in the payment of medical expenses. This grant is based on financial need. Application instructions are included in each document. Applications are reviewed twice a year on May 1st and November 1st.

Please note: The grant review for 2012 will be done on JULY 1, 2012 instead of May 1, 2012.

It is important that each application is filled out completely prior to being submitted for review. Incomplete applications may be returned and their processing delayed.

Foundation Assistance Grant
Provides non-profit organizations with funds to support research and education regarding carcinoid and other rare cancers in conjunction with the goals of The Lois Merrill Foundation.
